EMAIL 2 SMS FORWARDING WITH UK2.NET

First step
To receive emails on your mobile
phone the network of the mobile phone company you are using must support it. If this is the
case keep reading.
In simple terms you need to get an email address from your mobile phone provider. They will automatically forward emails
to your mobile phone as so called SMS messages. SMS is a mobile
phone service using the GSM standard which allows 160 characters for each message.
After you have obtained such an address (example
username@genie.co.uk), UK2.NET can help you to forward all your emails arriving at
yourdomainname.co.uk or.com to this address.
Easy it is too !
Second step
Register a domain with UK2.NET. We then help you to forward all emails arriving at your
registered address to our web based email service. (The envelope on the left panel of our homepage).
This little detour is necessary.
You have clicked on the envelope and now select the option Redirect/forward mail.
Third step
Your email is now sitting and waiting in a mailbox on our web based service. But you
also want the email to arrive on your mobile phone. Go now to
"NEW FORWARDING DETAILS"
fill in the
details in the blank window.
and enjoy.
BT Cellnet (Genie)
BT Cellnet offers FREE SMS forwarding via Genie.
To get an email address for your phone, simply
follow these instructions or call 0800 214000 for help.
Remember your new username and password
Click Go (or login next time)
Click Update on the page saying forward to SMS
Go here www.genie.co.uk
Now that you have an email address that is forwarded
all your email to your mobile cellnet phone.
The email address is:
username@genie.co.uk
You are still able to read your full emails online on mail.uk2.net and you can receive as many emails as you like without
restrictions.
* GENIE SUPPORTS ALL UK DIGITAL PHONES *
* Note some people have recently been telling us about extended delays in the Genie sms forwarding. This has nothing to do with UK2Net.
ORANGE
Same instructions as BT Cellnet (Genie)
VODAFONE
Genie supports Vodafone phones. They do appear to have their own
service, but instructions seem unclear and complicated.
ONE2ONE
Genie supports one2one phones. But One2One has now opened up for
direct SMS access via their service but it costs 10p per message to use
the service, but it might be faster than using Genie.
